Available at all branch locations. A cashier's check could be used instead of a personal check to guarantee that funds for payment are available. A cashier's check is secured because the funds are withdrawn directly from the account at the time of check issuance. These checks can be for any amount and are generally more widely accepted than personal checks. The funds must be in the account for 72 hours before a Cashier’s Check can be issued. A nominal fee applies.
Courtesy Pay is a service that adds a measure of protection to your checking account. Courtesy Pay is designed to cover insufficient funds, up to an approved limit, for one low fee per covered overdraft transaction. That means, instead of returning a check to the merchant, or denying an electronic purchase because of insufficient funds, the Credit Union may pay the amount requested, up to your specified limit, saving you additional charges from the merchant collection companies, in addition to the Credit Union’s insufficient funds fee. It saves you the embarrassment an inadvertent overdraft can cause and helps protect your credit rating.

Although you are not charged for using Courtesy Pay unless you have an overdraft, you may opt-out of Courtesy Pay at any time. Contact the Credit Union for more information.
Direct Deposit is an electronic payment service that allows your employer to send your pay directly to your Credit Union checking or savings account rather than issuing a paper check. These deposits arrive and are made available to you more quickly than paper checks and eliminate the need to go to the Credit Union every payday. Direct Deposit is the preferred way to get paid, due to its safety, speed and convenience.
East Idaho has arranged with many employee groups to provide Direct Deposit services. Contact your employer to determine if Direct Deposit is available at your workplace. All federal employees are eligible for direct deposit.
To enroll, just follow these easy steps:
- Download the enrollment form here. Complete your personal and employer information
- Indicate which account applies
- Sign and return this form to your employer's payroll office
It's that easy. Please remember to mark whether you want it to deposit into your savings or checking (if you only have a savings account please mark savings).
Available with a face value of up to $500.00. A money order is a limited-amount payment instrument that provides a convenient way to pay bills or send funds through the mail. Using a money order guarantees funds for the payment. This can be a used as a safe alternative to sending cash or checks. Fees may apply.
Line of Credit
A line of credit that can be used in many ways. It can be used to go on vacation, in an emergency, or can even be connected to your checking account to protect you from overdraft fees. Every now and then things get overlooked when it comes to your financial situation. We want to make sure that you know we have your back!
Safe Deposit Boxes
The cost per year of a Safe deposit box is relatively low compared to the security benefits that it offers. We have multiple sizes for you to choose from. All boxes are fireproof and held within a vault. Boxes are available at the Idaho Falls Main Office, Ammon, Arco, Rexburg, Dubois, and Salmon branches. Sizes and prices vary. We have recently made improvements to our Telephone Teller service. Along with these improvements is a new Telephone Teller phone number. For account information please call us at 855-304-8787.
If you don’t have access to the Internet, manage your account 24 hours a day with Telephone Teller. Telephone Teller is a free service for all Credit Union members. Personal account information is protected over the telephone using a personal identification number (PIN). Visit your nearest branch today to receive your PIN and begin using the Telephone Teller.

U.S. Savings Bonds
U.S. Savings Bonds can be redeemed at all branch locations. To purchase a U.S. Savings Bond, go to www.treasurydirect.gov.
Domestic and International incoming and outgoing transfers are available. Wire transfers save time and stress. Incoming wire transfers are guaranteed funds and have no fees. Business accounts require a wire transfer agreement be on file for 30 days before a wire can be be processed for a business account. Funds are required to be available in the transferring account for at least 72 hours before the transfer can be made. Fees may apply.
